The term “hazard” means intrinsic properties of any chemical substance that causes adverse effects to human health or the environment.
The term "toxic substance" means a hazardous chemical substance designated and publicly notified by the Minister of Environment according to the standards prescribed by Presidential Decree (Annex 1, Article 3 of the Enforcement Decree of the K-REACH)
According to the partial amendment of the Public Notice 2025-2 of Toxic Substances announced by National Institute of Chemical Safety (NICS) on January 24, 2025, compliance with transitional measures for the revised provisions must be ensured from the effective date, which is three months after the announcement date.
