Regulation Overview
Restricted Substances refer to chemicals recognized as highly hazardous when used for specific purposes.
Prohibited Substances are chemicals acknowledged as highly hazardous in all applications, and their manufacture, import, sale, storage, preservation, repackaging, or usage is strictly prohibited.

Pursuant to Article 27 and Article 20 of the Enforcement Decree of the same law, the Minister of Environment designates and announces restricted substances or prohibited substances.

Key Changes
The classification of Chrysotile has been adjusted from restricted substances to prohibited substances.
